About Resolvecall
Resolvecall Limited is a debt collection agency in Paisley, registered in Scotland under company number SC127277. It has used the Resolvecall name since 2017 and was previously called Fidelite Credit Management and Scotcall. It is authorised by the FCA (FRN 713946).
Resolvecall says it works for "some of the UK's most well-known financial institutions" but does not name them on its website. It says it does not buy debts. It acts for the organisation that owns your account, so that organisation still makes the key decisions about it.
Resolvecall contacts people by letter, phone, email and text, and it also has field agents who may visit your home. A field agent is not a bailiff and has no power to enter or take goods. A letter or visit from Resolvecall is a request to get in touch, not a court claim, and you can reply in writing to check or dispute what it says.

Your Rights
Proof of the debt and who owns it
You can ask Resolvecall in writing to name the client that owns the account, what the debt is for and how the amount is made up.
Consumer Credit Act 1974 (sections 77 and 78)
For credit agreements, you can ask for a copy of the agreement under section 77 (fixed-sum credit) or section 78 (running-account credit). While it is not provided, the agreement cannot be enforced.
Limitation Act 1980 (section 5)
Most consumer debts in England and Wales become statute-barred six years after your last payment or last written acknowledgement. A court claim on a statute-barred debt can be defended on that basis.
FCA Consumer Credit sourcebook (CONC 7)
CONC 7.9 bars unreasonable or oppressive contact, and CONC 7.14 requires collection to be suspended while a genuine dispute is investigated.
Complaints
Email complaints@resolvecall.co.uk or call 0141 212 8508. If you are unhappy with Resolvecall's final response, or have not had one after 8 weeks, you can go to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Common Resolvecall Scenarios
A letter about an account you do not recognise
Do not pay until you have checked. Write to Resolvecall asking it to name the client, the original account and how the balance is made up. FCA rule CONC 7.14 says collection should be suspended while a genuine dispute is investigated.
You think you have already paid
Resolvecall says it will check with its client if you believe an account was paid or settled. Send copies of your proof of payment with your letter and keep the originals.
A field agent visit notice
Field agents are not bailiffs. They cannot enter your home, take goods or clamp a vehicle, and you do not have to open the door or discuss the debt with them. You can write to Resolvecall asking for no home visits and for all contact to be by post.
A debt that may be statute-barred
Under section 5 of the Limitation Act 1980, most consumer debts in England and Wales become statute-barred six years after your last payment or last written acknowledgement. Resolvecall says it may still contact you about a statute-barred account, but it cannot win a court claim on it if you defend on that basis.
You are struggling to pay
Tell Resolvecall in writing if you are struggling and ask for time to get free debt advice. A debt adviser can also apply for Breathing Space under the Debt Respite Scheme, which pauses most creditor action and interest for 60 days.
Repeated calls or texts
Under FCA rule CONC 7.9 and section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, collectors must not contact you at unreasonable times or in a way that causes alarm or distress. You can ask in writing for contact by letter only.
