About Arrow Global
Arrow Global Limited, company number 05606545, used to own unpaid UK consumer debts that it bought from lenders. Arrow now describes itself as a European investment manager, and it no longer deals with UK customers itself. The FCA register shows Arrow Global Limited (FRN 718754) as no longer authorised.
Arrow says that since 31 May 2023, all of its UK customer accounts have been handled by Capquest Debt Recovery Limited, which is now part of the Intrum group. Arrow has also sold most of its UK accounts to new owners. Court judgments that Arrow companies held have been moved to new owners called Arrow DAC and Intrum DAC.
So if you have an old Arrow Global debt, any letter about it now comes from Capquest or from whichever company the letter names. Write to Capquest to ask who owns your debt now and to check the balance before you pay.

What an Arrow Global Letter Typically Looks Like
- A letter from Capquest, not Arrow, quoting a Capquest reference number about an account that used to be with Arrow Global.
- A Notice of Assignment telling you that your account has been sold to a new owner.
- A Global Substitution Order letter telling you that a county court judgment held by an Arrow company now belongs to Arrow DAC or Intrum DAC. Capquest says these are for information only.
- Capquest contact details: 0333 999 7200 and Capella, 60 York Street, Glasgow, G2 8JX.
- Older paperwork may name Arrow Global Limited, Arrow Global Guernsey Limited or Arrow Global Accounts Management Limited as the owner.
Your Rights
Notice of assignment
When a debt is sold, you must be told in writing for the buyer to sue in its own name (section 136 of the Law of Property Act 1925). You can ask for a copy of the notice of assignment.
Consumer Credit Act 1974 (sections 77 and 78)
For credit agreements, you can ask for a copy of the agreement under section 77 (fixed-sum credit) or section 78 (running-account credit). While it is not provided, the agreement cannot be enforced.
Limitation Act 1980 (section 5)
Most consumer debts in England and Wales become statute-barred six years after your last payment or last written acknowledgement. A court claim on a statute-barred debt can be defended on that basis.
FCA Consumer Credit sourcebook (CONC 7)
CONC 7.9 bars unreasonable or oppressive contact, and CONC 7.14 requires collection to be suspended while a genuine dispute is investigated.
Complaints
Arrow says queries and complaints about its accounts go to Capquest at customerresolution@capquest.co.uk or Capella Building, 60 York Street, Glasgow, G2 8JX. You can then go to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Common Arrow Global Scenarios
An old Arrow Global debt on your credit file
Arrow no longer manages UK accounts. Write to Capquest asking who owns the debt now, for a copy of the notice of assignment and for a statement of the balance.
A letter from Capquest about an Arrow account
This is expected. Arrow says Capquest has handled all of its UK customer accounts since 31 May 2023. Check the reference and balance against your own records before you pay.
A county court judgment in Arrow's name
Capquest says judgments held by Arrow companies have moved to Arrow DAC or Intrum DAC. The judgment itself has not changed. If you pay it in full within one month of the judgment date, it can be removed from the register.
A debt you do not recognise
Do not pay until you have checked. Ask Capquest in writing to name the original creditor and the current owner, and to show how the amount is made up.
A debt that may be statute-barred
Under section 5 of the Limitation Act 1980, most consumer debts in England and Wales become statute-barred six years after your last payment or last written acknowledgement. If that applies, say so in writing and do not pay or admit the debt before checking.
You are struggling to pay
Tell Capquest in writing and ask for time to get free debt advice. A debt adviser can apply for Breathing Space under the Debt Respite Scheme, which pauses most creditor action and interest for 60 days.
Dispute the Debt by Post
Our debt collection dispute letter is written from your answers in the letter builder.
