About PostRight
Why I Built PostRight

Hi, I'm Joshua Coley.
I built PostRight because I've been the person on the wrong end of a company that simply didn't care, and I know how frustrating it is to feel like you have no way to make them listen.
In January 2025 I was travelling through Thailand when I opened a delivery I'd been waiting on back home. The RAM I'd ordered from a major UK electronics retailer had arrived at the wrong speed and the wrong size. Useless. I called them. I emailed them. They told me they didn't believe there had been an error, and that because I was outside the 30-day return window I'd need to come into store so they could inspect it themselves.
I was 6,000 miles away.
I knew my rights. Before building PostRight I spent years in commercial and consumer debt collection. I understand consumer law, I know what companies are and aren't allowed to do, and I knew this retailer was wrong. But knowing your rights and being able to act on them are two different things when you're on the other side of the world with no printer, no envelope, and no way to get to a branch.
So I did what I knew would work. I drafted a formal letter citing the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and called my parents, who printed it, put it in an envelope, and posted it Royal Mail signed-for to the retailer's head office.
Five days later the retailer contacted me and issued a full refund.
What PostRight Is Built On
That moment is exactly what PostRight is built on. The frustration I felt isn't unique to me. Every day people in the UK are being ignored, fobbed off, or worn down by companies that know most people won't push back properly. A formal letter through the post changes the dynamic entirely. It signals that you know your rights, that you've followed the correct process, and that you're prepared to go further.
PostRight is my attempt to make that tool available to everyone, not just people who happen to know consumer law, and not just people who are physically in the UK when something goes wrong.

Built Solo, Based in the UK

I built it entirely on my own, from the ground up, and I'm based in the UK. Every template on the site is grounded in real UK legislation. Every letter is printed on quality paper and posted by Royal Mail. And every person who uses it gets the same outcome I did, a company that suddenly starts taking them seriously.
