Changing Your Details by Letter

Some details can only be changed in writing. Student Finance England says the only way to update your place of birth is by writing to it, and a date of birth change needs original evidence with a signed, dated cover letter that includes your CRN.

Appeals and Complaints Are Different

An appeal is about a decision on what you are entitled to. A complaint is about the service, such as mistakes, delays, rudeness or wrong information. Appeals go to Formal Appeals in Darlington, and complaints go to the Student Loans Company in Glasgow.
