Personal Letters

Yes. We post to any address in the UK, including prisons in England and Wales, the House of Commons and Buckingham Palace. For those, the address is filled in for you.

Order by 2.30pm on a working day and your letter is printed and posted the same day. Orders after 2.30pm, at weekends or on bank holidays are posted the next working day. Royal Mail Second Class usually arrives 2 to 3 working days after posting. Prisons check incoming post before passing it on, so allow a little extra time for a letter to someone in prison.

Your letter is only used to check it, print it, post it and send you a copy. It is shared with our print partner for printing and kept with your order as our privacy policy explains.

You can write to anyone in a prison in England and Wales. Give the prisoner's name and choose the prison, and the address is filled in for you. Prisons have their own rules about post, so do not enclose anything with your letter, and include the prisoner's number if you know it.

You write your letter online and choose a posting date between 1 month and 10 years from today. Your letter is booked in with our print partner and printed and posted by Royal Mail on that date, so it arrives as a real sealed letter.

Explain how the issue affects you as a constituent and say clearly what you want your MP to do. Most MPs reply to letters from people who live in their constituency. PostRight posts your letter to the House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA.
